This work by Snædís Högnadóttir is inspired by our four seasons, which return again and again each year. A magical blanket of pure white snow spreads across the land, and children step outside to play. Gradually, the snow begins to melt, and the scent of new growth awakens joyful memories.

All things green come back to life, the days grow brighter, and smiles grow wider. The sun leaves behind rosier cheeks, and the Eyrarós finally reveals itself in its finest beauty, though only for a fleeting moment.

Autumn colors stir a sense of wonder, and in what feels like an instant, the earth turns white once more. The cycle of the seasons begins again.
